Gamers Feel Disrespected By Ariana Grande’s Role in Final Fantasy

The Princess of Pop shocked the Gaming Community by Announcing her feature in ‘Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius.’

Based on her Instagram, Grande’s look includes a black dress, mask and bunny ears, which is from the cover of her album, ‘Dangerous Woman’.

Members of the ‘Final Fantasy Community’ were not impressed…

For most, it’s about authenticity:

For others, it’s about economics:

There’s even a petition on

ariana grande petition

a user on GameFAQs writes:

“My main concern is the fact they picked anyone at all to be a guest character in the game. FF series was built on a foundation of exceptional story telling … Adding cameos from trending celebrities is a great way to break the fantasy and convolute the story with people who don’t fit the narrative.”

“It also condemns the game to be trendy and dated once the novelty wears off. Imagine if the ‘Lord of the Rings’ series included a crappy character based on Elvis Presley to reach a broader audience of readers … I’m sure people who enjoyed Elvis’ music would have gotten a kick out of it, but it would have hurt the franchise long term. It’s a stupid marketing plot to add additional players.” – thedude541

Who knows, maybe the gaming community will warm up to the idea?

What do you think? Was it a good move to include Ariana Grande in a Final Fantasy? Let us know in the comments below!
